What the subscription covers
Your family's private encrypted cloud — the storage that backs up the archive, keeps every device in step and sends the newsletters, with 50 GB included. For most families that is years of photos.
- Everything included: timeline, calendar, health records, folders, lists, newsletter, co-parenting, keepsake letters. No feature tiers.
- One subscription covers the whole family — both parents, each with a phone and a computer, all four in step. We never charge per device, and the free desktop companion doesn't cost a seat.
- Your first month is free, from the day your family is set up.
- Billed through your Apple Account. Australian dollar prices; outside Australia the App Store charges you in your own currency at Apple's equivalent price, with local tax included.
If you cancel
Cancel anytime. The time you've already paid for runs to its end. Nothing is deleted because you cancelled, and the copies on your family's own devices keep working. If a subscription lapses, the full-quality originals we hold are kept for a further ~45 days — long enough to notice, and to bring the whole archive home as ordinary files with the free desktop companion or straight into your phone's camera roll. After that your photographs stay with us at up to 1600 pixels, with their captions and dates; videos are not kept.
If you reach the cap
At the cap, nothing is deleted and nothing stops: new originals wait, and back up the moment there's room. Originals are never degraded. From there you have two ways on. The 250 GB plan is for families who want to stay phone-only and never think about it again. The free desktop companion is the one with no ceiling: it brings originals home to a computer you own and clears the cloud behind them as it goes, so your own hard drive sets the limit. It asks one habit in return — open Famileze on that computer about once a week. A fortnight is the outer edge, not the target: past it the oldest waiting items have expired and the computer needs a full copy rather than a quick catch-up.
